Cowboy Card

Just Us Girls are having a "Wild West" theme Challenge this week.

I made this card for my nephew's 18th birthday recently. The cardstock and pattern paper are all from Stampin Up. The Rodeo Rider image is from a rodeo set I recently bought but cannot find the correct name for it. Added chocolate brown brads and mesh ribbon. 18th birthday is chipboard inked with chocolate ink pad.

(I've found where the stamps are from - My Heart Stamps For You)

Sweet 16

Happy 16th birthday to our god-daughter Bronte.

The image for this card is a digi stamp from Di's Digital Downloads. It reminds me of Bronte's dog Biscuit when she was a little puppy.
I've coloured the image with copics. The pattern paper is a RAK and is actually digital printed paper. I've sewed around edges and added a lace heart doily. Added flowers and chipboard swirls all glitzed with pearl glimmer mist. Greeting & verse computer generated.

The sketch I've used for this card is the challenge this week from Friday Sketchers.

Thanks for looking.

Pretty Pink & Girly

This is my entry for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #96 -'What are little girls made of ' - What else but sugar and spice and all things nice!!.

I've coloured Tilda with watercolour pencils and copics for skin. Embossed and stamped background, sewed and added lots of bling. Pattern paper is DCWV Sweet stack, Papermania and Stampin Up cardstock. Added some lace/ribbon from my stash. Flowers from Wild Orchard Crafts and glitzed with stickles.

This card also qualifies for the Wild Orchard Crafts Challenge #2 - 'One for the Girls'

Happy 50th Big Brother

My big brother has recently celebrated his 50th birthday. Being a keen rodeo rider in his younger years I thought this image would be perfect for him. Unfortunately I cannot remember who actually makes these stamps as I purchased them as an unmounted sheet of rodeo riders. The pattern paper is from Stampin Up mounted onto SU cardstock. The greeting is 'For You' is from Demani Design. Added mesh ribbon, brads and cowboy hat charm.

This is also my entry in 'The Secret Crafter Challenge - It's a Man's World'.

(Stamp from My Heart Stamps For You)

Hope you like.

Kay's 40th Birthday

I made this card for my friend Kay who has recently celebrated her 40th birthday.
This is also my entry in the ' Totally Tilda Challenge #2 - Make a Shaped Card'. This is actually the first round card I have made. This was certainly a team effort putting this card together. My friend Deb gave me the round card base and my friend Sue had the perfect sized doily to fit. The pattern paper is from Papermania. The circle 'Happy Birthday' is from the Cutting Cafe.
I coloured Tilda with water colour pencils to give a really soft finish. The picket fence is also a magnolia stamp. Added flowers, stickles, organza ribbon, charm and punched Martha Stewart butterfly.

Hope you like.

What's New Pussycat?

This is my entry for the Simon Says Challenge this week - 'Sing it baby'.

I've chosen a Tom Jones classic - "What's new pussycat?"

The image is from Di's Digital Downloads which can be found here. She has lots of really cute images. I've coloured with copics and added clear spica pen & stickles for a bit of bling. I found the pattern paper in a clearance box at my local scrapbook store but don't have a name for it. Added roses and rose coloured pearls.

Hope you like.

A Card for Sam

I made this for a little friend Sam for his second birthday. His birthday was in March and I totally missed it. I thought the 'sumpin's wrong' - 'I forgot your birthday' were perfect for this. The image is from Mo's digital pencil and is coloured with copics. The paper is from my stash and was just perfect colours for a little boys card. The stars are SU punch.

Catching Up

Here are a few cards I made prior to going on holidays. I have been trying to get up to date with my cards, so did a bulk make and took them to Melbourne with me. The baby image is from sugar nellie, and the other two are Magnolias. All are coloured with copic pens. I've used various papers from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Back from Holidays

Hi everyone - back from our holiday in Melbourne - hence the lack of posts recently.

Had a fabulous time. Kids got to see snow for the first time at Lake Mountain and loved it.

Have some cards to post over next few days when I get more organised and unpacked.

OMG - I WON!!!

OMG - I just found out I have won the Australian Copic Card Challenge which was held at the Brisbane Scrapbook Expo last weekend.

The competition was to 'create a card in A6 size (when folded) coloured using Copic colours: E02, Y06 and BV02. Each of these colours must appear in the design and you may incorporate other Copic colours to compliment these.'

This was the card I entered which is similar to the card I made for Sharon's birthday.

And this is what I've won:

My friend Sharon came 2nd in the competition. You can view her card here.

I'll be stalking the postie next week, eagerly awaiting my prize. Thank you Copic Australia.

Birthday Wishes for Bryony

My daughter is off to another friend's birthday party today hence the hastily made card.

This is an image from CC designs stamps, coloured with copics and spica glitter pens. My friends and I have  just been to the Brisbane Scrapbook Expo where I discovered my new favourite thing; spica pens, which of course required me to find one in every colour! Had a fabulous weekend!

Anyway back to this card - I stamped this image in a copic class at the expo so I'm not sure of its name. The papers are from DCWV 'All about girls stack'. The chipboard flourish is coloured with spica pens and looks much prettier in the real.

Hope your having a great weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Too Cute Digi Stamp

My good friend Sharon ( of Cards by Request blog fame) celebrated her birthday this week

I wanted to make her a card with an image she wouldn't have seen before and was delighted when I found this fabulous digital image from Digi Doodle Shop.

I've coloured with Copics, Star Dust Stickles to flowers and SU Crystal Effects to shoes and ribbon on hat.

The pattern paper is from DCWV, added flowers, MS butterfly punch, SU border punch, bling and cuttlebug corner adornment. The "Happy Birthday' is a rub-on and the idea for "It's all about the accessories" came from another talented card maker named Sharon (must be something in the name).

Hope you're enjoying your weekend and thanks for looking.
