Chinese Tilda

I recently made these cards using the Chinese Tilda. I've had these pattern papers for years in my stash.

I've coloured the flowers to match with my copic pens. Added metal embellishment, pearls, die cuts and MS butterfly punch.

The inspiration for these cards can be found at My Magnolias.

Thanks for looking.

Marci in Paris

Just catching up with a few cards I've made over the last month but haven't yet posted.

This lovely stamp is from LaLa Land Stamps. Instead of colouring with copics this time I've paper pieced her clothes and hat from matching paper. The design paper is from Kaisercraft as is the Ifle tower chipboard shape. Stitiched around outer edges and added pearls, flowers and swirl. Die cut shapes are from MFT.

The idea for this card came from Rosie Bridges.

Thanks for looking and hope to show some more over the next few days.

Tilda and Cat

I'm slowly catching up with all my birthday cards. This one went off in the post this week. I've used a different colour combination for me. I'm very partial to pink so doing a blue card this time was quite a challenge.

The image is coloured with copics. The garden seat is from CC designs and fits perfectly with Tilda. Pattern paper is from Kaisercraft Utopia paper pack.

The weather here is quite ordinary today. Started with sunshine and then quickly developed to a storm. Has been bleak every since. Good crafting weather though, so hopefully will get a few more cards off the list.

Thanks for looking.

Tilda with frog

Another froggy birthday card for my sister in law who loves frogs. It's become quite a challenge to find froggy images each year. I love this stamp from Magnolia and this is the first time I've coloured it. Used Copics for colouring and some diamond stickles for sparkle. Paper is from Papermania Rose Garden paper pack.

Thanks for looking

Little Birthday Boy

Our little friend Jett celebrated his 2nd birthday last weekend. This image so reminded me of him as he's always wearing most of his food rather than eating it.

The image is another fabulous digi stamp from Mo's digital pencil too. I've coloured with copics, cut out and mounted onto blue cardstock. Used pattern paper and cardstock from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Retirement

My brother-in-law Terry recently retired and I thought this image suited the occassion.

The stamp is from Wild Rose Studios and is coloured with copics. The pattern paper is from Basic Grey. The buttons and string are from my stash and I've punched contrasting circles, scrunched, then distressed with ink.

The train theme is because Terry is a model train enthusiest and now he has retired he will hopefully have some time to work on his train layout.

Thanks for looking.

Father's Day

Father's Day was a couple of weeks ago in Australia and this is the card I made for my Dad.

The base card was made at a craft show some years ago that I never finished so I've added a stamp from Inkadinkadoo aptly named 'Horses' and a greeting from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Butterfly Tilda

Back again with another Magnolia Tilda (Butterfly collection).

This is a tea light candle card decorated inside to include 4 candles. I made this for a friend at work and found a cute light candle holder to go with it. The pattern paper is from Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills collection and I've used a round doily and some pink cardstock. The flowers are from Wild Orchard crafts. I've used my very last MM metal happy birthday. I've loved using this form of birthday greeting but have been unable to find them in stores anymore. Let me know if anyone knows where to find them.

Thanks for looking

Back with a Magnolia Card

Hi - back again in blog world.

Have had a really busy couple of months and although I've been making a few cards I just haven't managed to post them. My brother was married in July and I was given the honour of making the invitations. I was quite happy with the result but found I just couldn't face making cards after making 45 card like invitations.

Anyway , this card was made for a friend using Magnolia Tilda stamp. I used a glittered pattern paper from First Edition paper pad. I've coloured using copics but trying to resemble distress inks. There's a great youtube tutorial by Suzanne Dean explaining the process.

Hopefully I will post a bit more regularly unless life gets a bit hectic again.

Until next time.

Teenager

I think this is a perfect image for a teenage birthday card. Its from Simply Betty Stamps.

I've kept the cards design quite simple which I think works well for male cards.

The pattern paper is from My minds Eye and card stock from Stampin Up.

6 years old

My little friend Zac turned 6 last month.

This card was made using a digi image from Mos Digital pencil and coloured with copics. The pattern paper was from a little pack I picked up at Big W. Great boy colours.
Punched some stars using the stampin up punches and coated with dimensional magic. The number six is cut using the cricuit. I didn't have matching pearls so I've coloured some white ones with copics to match.

Thanks for looking.

Male Card

This image is again a digi image which I've coloured with copic pens. I must keep a better system of tracking where I get these images from. I will add more details when I find where this came from.

The patter papers are from My Minds Eye 'stellar and rose' .

I forgot

Well I didn't really forget - was just given the wrong information.

This card was for my new sister-in-law who celebrated her birthday in February but my mum assured me it was in March. Not to worry she forgave me.

The image is a digi stamp coloured with copic pens. I just can't remember where I found it but will add details when I do.

Pattern paper is from DCWV.

It's been awhile

I know it's been quite some time since I last posted any cards.

I have been creating but just haven't found the time to put them on my blog.

I was looking through my collection of card photos and found a few oldies I created late last year that I haven't posted yet.

I made these magnolia tealight candle cards for my friends Sue and Dawn.

Used Magnolia Tilda stamps coloured with copics. Purple patterned paper is from Stampin Up.

Sophie's Card

This is one of the hardest cards I've had to make. Not because any of the actual card making was difficult but because my 8 year old daughter Sophie requested I make her a card for her birthday last November and  it had to be purple and it had to be "the best card you have ever made". Thanks Soph for not putting too much pressure on me - not!
So here it is - yes its purple - yes its 4 months late - is it the best card I've ever made? Probably not but I'm really happy with the end result and she loved it. So Happy belated Birthday Miss Sophie.

Card details:

Pattern paper from Kaisercraft.
White square paper doily
Swirls are Mariannes die cut
Image is from La La Land Digi stamp, greeting stamps from SU
Flowers from Wild Orchard crafts.
Coloured with copics, sitiched, organza ribbon, kaisercraft peals, punched butterflies with stickles.

Thanks for looking.

Tilda birthday

I had the pleasure of spending a very creative weekend with a few friends recently.

Luckily I managed to catch up on a few birthday cards for the next few weeks.

This card was for my sister.

I've used magnolia Tilda and fence stamped and coloured in copics. The pattern paper is from Kaisercraft 'Magic Happens' collection. This is such as pretty collection and perfect for girly cards. I've stitched around each of the panels, added pearls, flowers and ribbon.

Thanks for looking.

Valentine's Day birthday

Hello and Happy Valentines Day.

Today's card is for my darling husband who is celebrating his birthday today. When I discovered this image  I instantly thought of my hubby - not because it resembles him in anyway but because he works in a coal mine. (He isn't that large!) So Happy Birthday Bill.

The card image is a digi stamp from Dude Time Doodles found here. I've coloured with copics and then cut out image mounting on SU cardstock using silicone glue. I love how you can shape the images and then make them pop off the page with the silcone glue.

I'm entering this in the Sketch Saturday challenge no 142 which can be found here.

The pattern paper I've used is from WeRMemoryKeepers and matched with black cardstock. Have sewn around the edges with black thread and stamped with grunge stamp from stempleglede. I thought this made it look more authentic as coal dust tends to stick like glue. I've also smudged a bit on the image too.Added a birthday greeting stamp from LOTV and some black buttons to finish.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy your week.
