It's been awhile

I know it's been quite some time since I last posted any cards.

I have been creating but just haven't found the time to put them on my blog.

I was looking through my collection of card photos and found a few oldies I created late last year that I haven't posted yet.

I made these magnolia tealight candle cards for my friends Sue and Dawn.

Used Magnolia Tilda stamps coloured with copics. Purple patterned paper is from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Sophie's Card

This is one of the hardest cards I've had to make. Not because any of the actual card making was difficult but because my 8 year old daughter Sophie requested I make her a card for her birthday last November and  it had to be purple and it had to be "the best card you have ever made". Thanks Soph for not putting too much pressure on me - not!
So here it is - yes its purple - yes its 4 months late - is it the best card I've ever made? Probably not but I'm really happy with the end result and she loved it. So Happy belated Birthday Miss Sophie.

Card details:

Pattern paper from Kaisercraft.
White square paper doily
Swirls are Mariannes die cut
Image is from La La Land Digi stamp, greeting stamps from SU
Flowers from Wild Orchard crafts.
Coloured with copics, sitiched, organza ribbon, kaisercraft peals, punched butterflies with stickles.

Thanks for looking.

Tilda birthday

I had the pleasure of spending a very creative weekend with a few friends recently.

Luckily I managed to catch up on a few birthday cards for the next few weeks.

This card was for my sister.

I've used magnolia Tilda and fence stamped and coloured in copics. The pattern paper is from Kaisercraft 'Magic Happens' collection. This is such as pretty collection and perfect for girly cards. I've stitched around each of the panels, added pearls, flowers and ribbon.

Thanks for looking.

Valentine's Day birthday

Hello and Happy Valentines Day.

Today's card is for my darling husband who is celebrating his birthday today. When I discovered this image  I instantly thought of my hubby - not because it resembles him in anyway but because he works in a coal mine. (He isn't that large!) So Happy Birthday Bill.

The card image is a digi stamp from Dude Time Doodles found here. I've coloured with copics and then cut out image mounting on SU cardstock using silicone glue. I love how you can shape the images and then make them pop off the page with the silcone glue.

I'm entering this in the Sketch Saturday challenge no 142 which can be found here.

The pattern paper I've used is from WeRMemoryKeepers and matched with black cardstock. Have sewn around the edges with black thread and stamped with grunge stamp from stempleglede. I thought this made it look more authentic as coal dust tends to stick like glue. I've also smudged a bit on the image too.Added a birthday greeting stamp from LOTV and some black buttons to finish.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy your week.

1st Christmas

My friend at work asked me to make her a Christmas Card for her new little grandson.

I've used a digi image from Mo's digital pencil and coloured with copics. I've cut out and mounted onto a piece of white cardstock embossed with swiss dots. The red bauble is part of a larger stamp from Artee Stamps which I have embossed with gold and added "baby's first christmas" (using Just Rite Stamper). I've then covered with crystal effects to give it a 3D effect.
The patter paper is a digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs. I've used a square doily and stitched around the middle square. Added ribbon, charm and pearls.

The verse inside the card is from a web site called Verses for cards. Added some swirls and some more pearls.

I've entered this in Cute Card Thursday - challenge 141.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday Cards

Here are a few cards I've recently made.

This image is a stamp from Diamonds Rubber Stamps. I'm not sure if they are still available from the US.

I've coloured with copics and mounted onto pattern paper from Kaisercraft 'Candy Lane' collection.

Stitched around each panel and added ribbon, flowers, pearls and a few fancy swirls.

This card is using an unmounted stamp I had in my stash so I'm not sure who actually makes it. I've stamped in Night of Navy SU ink onto white cardstock. I've stitched around each panel with navy thread and sponged   navy ink to distress the edges. The pattern paper is from a We R Memory Keepers paper pad and I have stamped edges with a Stempelglede grunge stamp. Added charcoal pearls from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for looking.

Rich Razzleberry Cards

I recently made a few cards using the new Rich Razzleberry range from Stampin Up. I've also used pale plum cardstock to compliment the dark shades.I have sewn around each piece and added pearls, ribbon and chipboard swirls coloured with a matching copic pen. The doily has been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist. The metal greeting frame is from Delish Designs.

This image is a digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads and has been coloured using copic pens. I've added stardust stickles and punched a monarch butterfly from Martha Stewart punches and again added stardust stickles and pearls.

The second card I've made is again using the same cardstock and pattern papers. The corner swirls are a sizzix die cut. Have added some pretty jewels to the corners and have added star dust stickles to the flowers.

The image is a digi image from Karen's Doodles and has been coloured with copic pens. I've then cut out the image and placed it on heart embossed white cardstock. The oval shapes have been cut using nestable shapes.

Thanks for visiting.

Something a little different

Just thought I would show off our little visitor. He/she took up residence in our garden wishing well for over a week, coming out each morning to sun himself. It must have got a bit too hot here and has now moved on to something a bit more comfortable.

Back soon with some cards.

Cherry Magnolia

This is my entry for this weeks challenges at:  'Just Magnolia - Anything Goes'
and 'Totally Tilda - Glitter and Sparkle'.
The glitter cherries pattern paper I've chosen is from DCWV 'All About Girls' Stack combined with green SU card. I've coloured Tilda with copics and mounted onto white heart embossed card with a circle doily background . The flowers are from Wild Orchid. The corner flourish is chipboard coloured with red spica pen which fits in perfect with the cherry red.  I've added a very cute little cherry charm too,  which unfortunately has been covered by my ribbon.

Thanks for looking.
